CUB SCOUTS |
Congratulations to two members of 6th Northwood Rowallan on receiving their Adventure Crest Awards just before the summer break. |
Over 100 Cubs and leaders from all 8 Packs are booked for our trip to Brownsea Island later this month. With major changes in the Movement imminent it does us no harm to look back occasionally and I am sure that a District Grand Howl on the original Scout camp site will be an experience for us all to remember. |

WHO HAS FORM Ms? |
Leaders will be aware that a number of unfortunate accidents involving hill walking has resulted in rules and regulations being tightened up. Our County has asked Districts to supply a list of all holders of an M Form. Brian Benjamin is preparing this for our District. He has the details of the Leaders who have Form Ms at 1st Eastcote and 1st Northwood, but Leaders from any other Group who possess a Form M are asked to send Ben all details, including the expiry date. Ben’s address is in the District Directory. |

DISTRICT NEWS |
In my post over the summer break I have had a number of reminders from Jim Hunter our county commissioner. Most important of all is to encourage leaders to get members of their sections to complete and return the recently circulated questionnaire about the |
proposed change in uniforms. It is up to everyone to voice their opinion either in favour of the proposed changes or perhaps |
wishing to remain as we are, the |
decision is in the hands of the members right across the country. |

That’s about it from me for the time |
being, have good scouting this autumn term and I hope to see as many as possible at the snowball cheese and wine evening on 21st October. Keep those replies coming in. |
